Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, Corolla
These three junior volunteers visited the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education in Corolla. Here they are checking on the worm composting bins. After they left the center, they went to their Grandma's and helped install a rain barrell!
N.C. Office of Environmental Education EE Week/Earth Day Blog
There were a wealth of great Environmental Education Week and Earth Day events this April!
To bring to attention to the great things happening in environmental education in North Carolina, the N.C. Office of Environmental Education has started this EE Week/Earth Day Blog that will feature stories and photos from events around the state during the month of April, 2009.
We'll be picking some winners to feature in the next edition of EE News Tips and may even have some prizes! Send your Earth Day or EE Week photos (just 2 or 3 please) and stories to Marty.Wiggins@ncdenr.gov.
Remember, you can find EE workshops, events and activities on the EE Calendar. And don't let the outdoor fun stop in April. Make it Earth Day everyday!
